About
Sokol New York, a Unit of the American Sokol Organization, was founded in 1867. The heart of our organization is our historic building, located on the Upper East Side, where we offer gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do, ballet, basketball, volleyball and folk dance for various age groups.
Sokol New York is a not-for-profit organization. Our goal is to guide our members through life, from early youth to maturity, in the areas of physical health, citizenship and continued self-improvement.
This goal is pursued through our physical fitness programs as well as various cultural and social activities. Sokol New York is also committed to sharing the legacy of Czech and Slovak immigrants to the United States.
For the general community, we offer numerous classes at affordable prices. We are truly a family organization.
