Rhythmic Gymnastics (6-17 yrs)
Rhythmic gymnastics combines sport and art together to promote grace of movement, muscular flexibility and strength as well as good posture. The classes begin with warm-up, conditioning and stretches. Participants learn tumbling, dance moves, leaps, turns and traveling steps as well as manipulation of the hand apparatus (hoops, balls and ribbons) and choreographed dances to music.
The Monday class is for beginner to intermediate. Rhythmic classes on Fridays and Saturdays are for Rhythmic Gymnasts who are intermediate level and above. Intermediate Gymnasts must be able to do splits, cartwheels, bridges, basic dance positions and basic apparatus manipulation.
The class fee is $425 for classes 112 and 113 for the program year.
The new Saturday class is $230 for September 25, 2010 to January 29, 2011. The Saturday class will have a 2nd session from February to June.
